Roman Reigns reportedly drops out of Wrestlemania due to health concerns, leading WWE to supposedly look for a worthy replacement.

With WWE making the decision to air the biggest event of the wrestling calendar, WrestleMania, without crowds, many are expecting big stars to make up for the spectacle often associated with the iconic show. However, while names like Edge, The Undertaker, AJ Styles, "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, and John Cena will all be present on the show, it appears one modern legend advertised for the event won't be making an appearance.

That star in question is none other than Roman Reigns, who according to sources has elected to not partake in his upcoming match with Universal Champion Goldberg due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus. The decision was made due to Reigns' ongoing battle with Leukemia, with the star worrying that his immunocompromised status will make wrestling at the major event an unnecessary risk.

Reigns has been battling cancer for 11 years, with the star recently having to take time away from WWE after his Leukemia tragically returned. This is undoubtedly a very brave and sensible move that will protect the star's health going forward, and it's great to see WWE giving Reigns the space he needs to self-isolate and take care of himself through this worrying time.

However, Goldberg is now without an opponent, with reports claiming that another star will take Roman's place. Early rumors seem to be pegging Braun Strowman for the role, with fans often clamoring to see the popular wrestler finally get a major title win, while Samoa Joe has recently recovered from an injury and could go one on one with the legend as well.
